Product Overview
Aluminium sheet is a flat-rolled metal product available in multiple grades and thicknesses, each selected to suit a specific range of applications. At Click Metal, sheets are supplied cut to your exact measurements, reducing on-site preparation time and minimising material waste.
The grades available cover the most common commercial requirements. Grade 1050H14 and 5251H22 offer excellent formability, making them well-suited to bending, pressing, and shaping. Grades 5083'O' and 6082T6 provide strong corrosion resistance and are commonly specified for outdoor use, marine environments, and structural applications. All sheets are supplied with a removable PVC protective film on one face, reducing the risk of surface damage during handling and transit.
Ordering to your precise dimensions removes the need for on-site cutting in most cases. Each sheet is manufactured to a cutting tolerance of -0/+2mm, which provides a consistent, workable fit across renovation, fabrication, and installation projects. You simply enter the length and width required when placing your order, and we handle the rest.
For larger volumes or commercial supply requirements, Click Metal works alongside Dore Metals, our parent company and nationwide metals distributor. If your project exceeds standard quantities or requires specialist processing, we can refer your enquiry accordingly.
If you are unsure which grade or thickness is appropriate for your application, our team is available to help. Get in touch, and we will be more than happy to advise on material selection before you place an order.
Applications for Aluminium Sheet
Signage & Display
- Exterior and interior signage requires a material that holds its appearance over time. Aluminium sheet provides a stable, corrosion-resistant surface that accepts printing, painting, and vinyl application without difficulty. Grade 1050H14 is widely used for this purpose due to its smooth finish and consistent flatness.
Kitchen Splashbacks & Interior Panelling
- Wall areas behind hobs and sinks are regularly exposed to heat, moisture, and cleaning products. Aluminium sheet offers a practical and hygienic surface that is straightforward to fit and easy to maintain. Sheets ordered to the exact wall dimensions reduce on-site cutting and produce a clean, finished result.
Roofing & Architectural Flashing
- Aluminium sheet is used in residential and commercial roofing to provide weatherproof covering and flashing at junctions, valleys, and parapets. Its resistance to corrosion makes it reliable in exposed conditions, and its light weight reduces loading on the supporting structure. Grade 5083'O' is commonly specified for outdoor and roofing applications.
Guttering & Drainage Components
- Aluminium is a well-established material for constructed guttering and rainwater management. It is lightweight enough to handle and install without specialist equipment, and its corrosion resistance ensures a long service life with minimal maintenance.
HVAC Ductwork & Ventilation
- In heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, aluminium sheet is used to fabricate duct sections and enclosures. It maintains dimensional stability across temperature variations and does not corrode in humid or temperature-controlled environments, supporting the long-term integrity of the installation.
Automotive & Workshop Fabrication
- For vehicle bodywork repairs, guards, covers, and workshop fabrication, aluminium sheet provides a workable and relatively lightweight option. Grade 5251H22, with its good formability, is suited to applications that require bending or pressing.
Awnings & Canopy Structures
- Aluminium sheet is used to form canopy and awning panels for doors, windows, and outdoor covered areas. Its combination of low weight and weather resistance makes it a practical choice for structures that need to remain functional with minimal maintenance.
Cabinetry & Furniture Accents
- Aluminium sheet is applied in cabinetry and furniture manufacture for door panels, drawer fronts, and decorative facings. It provides a contemporary appearance and is resistant to the humidity and wear typical of kitchen and workshop environments.
