Steel is stronger than aluminium but also far heavier. That’s why aluminium is often the more popular choice of metal for projects that require a lightweight but durable material.

What is an aluminium treadplate?

Treadplates, also known as checker plates or durbars, are generally used for flooring, ramp coverings, stair treads, wall protection, kick plates and vehicle beds. Their raisedpattern provides excellent grip. Our 5 bar treadplate is made from durable Aluminium Grade 5754, which offers good corrosion resistance.
